Dr. Kierra Lloyd is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with a deep passion for holistic mental health care. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work from Abilene Christian University and the University of Texas at Arlington, respectively. Most recently, she completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University. Her dissertation focused on the positive effects of animal-assisted therapy in treating trauma, which is a reflection of her heart for innovative, compassionate care.
Dr. Lloyd has spent her career helping individuals and families heal with intention and heart, creating spaces that are not only safe but also empowering and even joyful. While therapy is her first love, she is excited to deepen her expertise and expand her skill set in psychological assessment and testing during her postdoctoral training to provide more comprehensive care to clients of all ages.
Dr. Lloyd brings a rich background in trauma-informed care, play therapy, and clinical supervision. She is particularly passionate about bridging the gap between therapeutic insight and diagnostic clarity to empower clients through accurate and thoughtful assessments to guide meaningful treatment.
Outside of work, Dr. Lloyd enjoys laughing often, creating freely, spending time with her animals, and finding peace in nature.
